Stefani Tewes was born in Delta Colorado and raised in
the small town of Summerville just north of Charleston
South Carolina.Tewes was born with a passion for art and
throughout her youth pursued a myriad a creative goals,
always knowing drawing and painting would be the
main focus in her life. Showing talent at an early age
Tewes received the O’neill Verner award in 1992 and her
work was displayed at the state capital building in
Columbia South Carolina. Over subsequent years Tewes
studied at South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts,
Journeyed to Aix en Provance, France to attend a study
abroad program and graduated from Laguna College
of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2000.
Tewes’s paintings have been the subject of numerous group exhibitions including “Collective” at Froggtown Studios in Los Angeles, CA, “Connective Tissue” at Notion Fine Art in Laguna Beach, CA “Women Painting Women” at Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, SC. as well as numerous shows at Principle Gallery in Alexandria VA. Her work is represented in corporate as well as private collections, Tewes currently lives and paints in Laguna Beach, CA.
